Within the research of different authors in the business area, it is affirmed that job satisfaction has a positive impact on organizational performance; however, most of these studies have been conducted in large or transnational companies; therefore, it is necessary to measure whether the same effect is seen in micro, small, and medium-sized companies. The objective of this study is to measure the association between job satisfaction and job performance in southern Sonora, it is a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional research. Among the findings, a moderate level of the variables involved is highlighted, in particular the linear correlation corresponds to Pearson's R correlation measure, resulting in R= .667, which according to the literature is a strong positive correlation, indicating an association between satisfaction and work performance.
