The development of language in childhood is an essential aspect of human growth, particularly when children begin to actively explore verbal and non-verbal communication. The study aimed to develop a play-work strategy for the development of language expression and communication learning from an expressive-constructivist approach in children aged 3 to 4 years, in an educational context. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach, employing a non-experimental design through a case study, with a descriptive-explanatory scope. The validation of the proposal was carried out through the focus group technique. The research process was structured in four phases, using the Preschool Language Scale, Fifth Edition (PLS-5), as an intervention tool to enhance language skills. The results showed that the systematic implementation of playful activities promoted the comprehensive development of expression and communication, as evidenced by the evaluation results at high and medium levels in the 15 cases studied, establishing play-work as an effective educational resource to enhance linguistic, social, and phonological skills in early childhood.
