Influencia de la nutrición en la integridad cutánea y el envejecimiento dérmico: una perspectiva desde la salud preventiva

Resumen

La salud cutánea es un reflejo integral del estado nutricional del individuo. Diversos micronutrientes como las vitaminas A, C, E y los ácidos grasos esenciales desempeñan un papel fundamental en la regeneración dérmica, la síntesis de colágeno y la protección contra el estrés oxidativo. Esta revisión analiza la relación entre la alimentación equilibrada y la integridad de la piel, enfatizando cómo una dieta rica en antioxidantes y compuestos antiinflamatorios puede prevenir el envejecimiento prematuro y contribuir a la salud dermatológica. Asimismo, se abordan los efectos negativos de los hábitos alimentarios inadecuados, como el alto consumo de azúcares refinados y grasas trans. Se concluye que la promoción de una nutrición adecuada no solo es clave para la prevención de enfermedades sistémicas, sino también para mantener la función barrera, elasticidad y aspecto saludable de la piel a lo largo del tiempo.
