Teachers and pedagogical updating in contexts of educational transformation
Keywords:
Teacher, educational transformation, teaching competencies, educational practice, professional updatingAbstract
The teacher and educational transformation are two terms present in the pedagogical field, accompanied by various challenges, such as those that emerged during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, a context in which the need to update and replan educational scenarios arose. According to the above, there is a demand to respond to different school needs and to develop teaching competencies that favor the teaching and learning process. Nowadays, a static teacher cannot be conceived; instead, an active teacher is required—one who renews his or her educational practice and everything immersed in it. In this regard, constant and permanent training and professional updating are emphasized, from which improvements in teaching practice can be reflected.
