Estrategias didácticas contextualizadas para mejorar la comprensión del cálculo diferencial en estudiantes de Ingeniería Arquitectónica

Resumen

La enseñanza del cálculo diferencial en las carreras de ingeniería representa uno de los principales retos en la educación superior, particularmente en programas como Ingeniería Arquitectónica, donde los estudiantes suelen percibir los contenidos matemáticos como abstractos y poco vinculados con su futura práctica profesional. Esta situación se manifiesta en dificultades conceptuales persistentes, bajos niveles de comprensión y elevados índices de reprobación. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo analizar la implementación de estrategias didácticas contextualizadas para mejorar la comprensión del cálculo diferencial en estudiantes de la carrera de Ingeniería Arquitectónica. La investigación se desarrolla bajo un enfoque aplicado y mixto, centrado en el diseño e implementación de actividades didácticas que vinculan los conceptos fundamentales del cálculo diferencial con situaciones propias del ámbito arquitectónico, favoreciendo la interpretación geométrica, el uso de representaciones múltiples y el razonamiento conceptual. La metodología empleada incluyó la aplicación de una prueba diagnóstica y una evaluación final, así como la observación del desempeño académico y el análisis de productos de aprendizaje antes y después de la intervención didáctica. Los resultados evidencian una mejora significativa en la comprensión conceptual de los contenidos, así como un incremento en la participación, la motivación y la capacidad de los estudiantes para establecer conexiones entre representaciones algebraicas, gráficas y contextuales. Se concluye que la contextualización disciplinar del cálculo diferencial constituye una alternativa didáctica efectiva para fortalecer el aprendizaje significativo en estudiantes de Ingeniería Arquitectónica, aportando evidencia empírica relevante para la innovación en la enseñanza de las matemáticas en la educación superior.
