A proposal for solutions based on nature in the agroecological transition of Finca Encarnación

Abstract

The result refers to a proposal for solutions based on nature in the agroecological transition of the Finca Encarnación, of the 26 de Julio Credit and Services Cooperative. Objective: develop actions that contribute to the agroecological transition, generating an offer in food production. Descriptive, explanatory, non-experimental study; applies field work, steps zero and one of the Tool for the Evaluation of Agroecology Performance (TAPE) contextualized to the Encarnación farm. Results: presentation of the proposal for actions. Conclusions: The preparation of the proposal of actions assumes theoretical foundations of Agroecology and climate-smart agriculture in favor of food production. In this perspective, seventeen Actions are proposed that will allow a projection towards the agroecological Transition of Finca Encarnación, generating an offer of climate-smart agriculture, based on agroecological principles, in articulation with the international project Municipal climate governance and sustainable agroforestry production of foods with low emissions and adapted to climate change (CienPinos), as the articulation takes place in the perspectives of climate governance and the use of nature-based solutions, in synergy with the Territorial Social Economic Development Strategy, in the Abreus municipality.
